Hormonal Health

At Solutions, we don’t refer to Estrogen, Testosterone, and Progesterone as “reproductive hormones” Why? Because most of the work performed by these hormones are above our waistline and do not include the processes of childbearing for men or women. They have so many roles that contribute to wellness!

"Normal" range hormone doesn't mean normal when it comes to hormone health. It means "common". We aren't interested in feeling common.

Peri-Menopause

Meet Jill. She is 40 years old. Her periods are regular….uh….well…most of the time. She told her doctor, “something is NOT right!” but received the reply: Your labs are normal.

Jill knows better. She is not normal. She hasn’t been heard.

“I’m not myself. I snapped at someone at work. My kids are pushing my buttons. That’s not like me. I can’t sleep. My periods are wacky or heavy suddenly. Meanwhile, my shoulders and hips hurt.”

“My doctor suggested I just go back on birth control, take an antidepressant, and a sleeping pill Is that really what I need ? Will I have to take ibuprofen forever for my joints?

Jill is right on schedule.

Welcome to perimenopause. Jill! We have taught many like her how to navigate this landscape and offer real “Solutions”.

Menopause

Meet Sarah. She is 51 years old. She's not had a menstrual cycle in 12 months now. She’s relieved not to worry about it. However, she's been experiencing joint pain for a few years and wondering, “Am I going live with this forever?”

In spite of unbearable fatigue, her sleep is either absent or interrupted—waking in a puddle of sweat.

Sexual relations have been less comfortable or pleasurabe, hurting her relationship.

Her doctor hasn’t brought up the subject so far. “If my doctors thought I needed it, they’d have brought it up.” Because her aunt had breast cancer, maybe she just needs to avoid it. After all, her entire adult life, she’s heard that HRT is risky.

Welcome to menopause, Sarah! There is good news. The WHI study of 2002 has been debunked. But the industry is lagging behind. As a result, 70% of women are not being treated for menopause.

Let us help you get UP TO DATE! If you choose to forego HRT, we will make sure its not because of fear or lack of information.

PCOS & Endometriosis

Meet Caitlin. She is 29 years old. Her doctor told her she has Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. “That’s a problem with my ovaries, right?” she often asks. Actually, it’s a broader endocrine disorder.

Common treatment is to target your your reproductive system and birth control is commonly prescribed. This management alone will not address the upstream cause of this endocrine challenge that is better served by addressing her insulin disorder.

Meet Leslie. She is 32 years old. She has been told she has endometriosis. Her periods are painful. Her best known options according to her providers are suppression through birth control. She wants to avoid the surgery at all costs. The birth control makes her feel poorly but what other options are there?

We ache for these ladies and can offer explanation and adjunct therapy while teaching them how estrogen and progesterone operate, and feel more in control of their menstrual destiny.

Male Hormone Management & Optimization

Meet Mike. He’s 45 years old. Mike is sure that his “T level is fine”. Why? Because he has ample desire and performance “below the belt”. After all, that’s what testosterone is for, right?”

Unfortunately, that’s a public relations taboo. Testosterone is more than that.

What Mike doesn’t say to many people is that he’s kinda wondered lately if he isn’t depressed. His mood is low. He’s not motivated to take on those projects around the house.

Likewise, his knees and back won’t allow him to dash up the stairs lately.

He can’t focus at work and he’s lagging behind in his career goals. He thinks THAT is what’s keeping him awake at night, but actually…its’ more than that.

Welcome to andropause, Mike. You’re in great company with many men who aren’t sure what testosterone supplementation is really about.

Join our clientele of men who understand the protection from vascular disease and decline that testosterone has to offer.

How it Works

01

Schedule a
FREE Inquiry Consult

We refer to this free consult as the “Inquiry Consult” and for good reason:

A few of YOUR QUESTIONS for us:

  • “What do you offer here?”

  • “Can you help me?”

  • “You’re not a snake oil salesman are you?”

  • “What about breast cancer?”

A few of OUR QUESTIONS for you:

  • “What are your goals?”

  • “What’s your history?”

  • “How can we help?”

We send you intake forms to complete, of course, but this is a face-to-face brief encounter to inquire of each other to make a customized plan.

Solution Session +
Follow-Up Labs

Our Solutions Sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, where we explore your symptoms and provide education, with your lab values before us. Afterward, we’ll schedule follow up lab values to confirm our success in numbers while investigating your subjective responses to therapy as well. Rarely will your appointments ever last as long as your first Solutions Session—because we spend time teaching you Hormone Health 101 for YOU.

03

Transform
Your Health

Hormone health isn’t a drive-through process. We don’t tell you what to do then “see ya in year”. This is a collaborate relationship. We introduce you options. Interventions need surveillance to ensure outcomes and to hear from you once an individual plan of care is made for YOU. Our clients become well-versed in their hormone health and becomes leaders in the process. Not followers.

I knew something was off…

Mandi and her team are nothing short of amazing! I went to Mandi when I knew something was off and my regular physicians said my labs were “normal.” It’s been 2 months and I feel AMAZING and back to my normal self. I cannot recommend Mandi and functional medicine enough!
